1. Acceptance of these Terms
EdgeHabit is currently a founder-operated early-stage product from India. It is being tested and improved with early users. It is not currently incorporated as a company, LLP, or partnership. These Terms are written for that current operating model and may be updated if EdgeHabit is later incorporated, assigned, transferred, or operated through a registered entity.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EdgeHabit, including our website, web application, mobile application, APIs, dashboards, broker-connect features, import tools, charting, replay, analytics, alerts, AI-assisted features, documentation, support services, and related products (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing the Service, connecting a broker account, uploading data, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise using EdgeHabit, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
"EdgeHabit", "we", "us", and "our" mean the founder/operator of the EdgeHabit product. EdgeHabit is currently an early-stage, founder-operated product from India and is not currently incorporated as a company, LLP, or partnership. If EdgeHabit is later incorporated, assigned, transferred, or operated through a registered entity, these Terms may be updated to reflect the new operator.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use EdgeHabit.
2. Who may use EdgeHabit
You may use EdgeHabit only if:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract;
- you are using the Service for lawful purposes;
- you are the lawful owner of, or are authorized to use, all broker accounts, files, API keys, API secrets, access tokens, market-data subscriptions, and trading data that you connect or upload; and
- your use of EdgeHabit does not violate any law, broker agreement, exchange rule, API policy, or third-party contract.
If you use EdgeHabit on behalf of a company, partnership, proprietary trading desk, training institute, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. What EdgeHabit is
EdgeHabit is a technology platform for trade journaling, behavioral review, analytics, replay, chart-based review, strategy reflection, record keeping, and trader self-improvement.
EdgeHabit may allow users to:
- import trades from uploaded files and, if later enabled, approved broker connections;
- connect a broker only if EdgeHabit later enables an approved integration;
- view their own trading journal, performance analytics, behavioral metrics, tags, notes, mistakes, rules, and review history;
- view chart, candle, replay, or market-data-based tools where supported by the user's own broker or data entitlements;
- use AI-assisted summaries, coaching prompts, review suggestions, and behavioral insights;
- create rules, playbooks, checklists, and review workflows;
- export, delete, or manage their own records subject to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
EdgeHabit is intended to help users review their own trading process. EdgeHabit is not a broker, exchange, depository participant, custodian, investment adviser, portfolio manager, research analyst, sub-broker, or fund manager.
4. What EdgeHabit is not
Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement and only to the extent lawfully licensed:
- EdgeHabit does not provide brokerage services.
- EdgeHabit does not hold client funds or securities.
- EdgeHabit does not execute trades in its own name.
- EdgeHabit does not provide personalized investment advice.
- EdgeHabit does not provide SEBI-registered research analyst services.
- EdgeHabit does not provide portfolio management services.
- EdgeHabit does not guarantee profits, returns, win rate, risk reduction, or trading success.
- EdgeHabit does not verify whether any trade, setup, strategy, or instrument is suitable for you.
- EdgeHabit does not act as your financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment, or regulatory adviser.
Any analytics, charts, reports, scores, tags, alerts, replays, indicators, statistics, AI outputs, coaching prompts, or educational content are for informational and record-review purposes only.
You remain solely responsible for every trading, investment, tax, legal, and risk-management decision you make.
5. Trading risk disclosure
Trading and investing in securities, derivatives, futures, options, commodities, currencies, cryptocurrencies, leveraged products, and other financial instruments involves substantial risk.
You understand and agree that:
- you may lose some or all of your capital;
- past performance does not indicate future results;
- backtests, replays, simulations, analytics, and hypothetical examples may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading if treated as guarantees;
- market conditions can change quickly;
- broker APIs, data feeds, exchanges, internet connections, and software systems may fail, lag, throttle, or provide incomplete data;
- EdgeHabit is not responsible for any trading loss, missed opportunity, incorrect order, broker error, data error, or decision made by you.
You should trade only with capital you can afford to lose and should obtain advice from qualified professionals where appropriate.
6. Broker integration status and permitted methods
Public broker sync is currently coming soon and is not generally available. EdgeHabit will enable a broker connection only after broker-specific review confirms that the authentication method, data access, storage, and use are permitted for EdgeHabit's third-party, read-only service.
EdgeHabit currently supports, or may later support, these data-entry methods:
- File import: you upload tradebooks, orderbooks, contract notes, CSV files, spreadsheets, statements, or similar records.
- Manual entry: you manually enter trade, journal, or performance data.
- Broker-hosted authorization: if approved and enabled, you are redirected to a broker-controlled page and EdgeHabit receives only the authorization data required for the disclosed read-only functions.
- Another broker-permitted method: a personal API key, client ID, app code, token, or secret may be accepted only where the broker expressly permits that method for a third-party service and the EdgeHabit connection screen discloses the handling before collection.
Listing or referring to a broker does not mean that broker is supported, affiliated with, partnered with, or endorses EdgeHabit. Broker names and marks are used only to identify user-provided tradebook formats or planned integrations.
For any broker connection, you represent and warrant that:
- you own the relevant broker account or are legally authorized to connect it;
- you have obtained and will maintain any required broker API subscription, market-data subscription, exchange entitlement, or permission;
- your use of broker APIs through EdgeHabit is allowed by your broker's terms;
- you will not use another person's API credentials or account without authority;
- you will not use EdgeHabit to bypass broker rate limits, exchange restrictions, data licensing rules, or access controls.
7. Broker authorization data
If an approved integration is enabled and you choose to authorize it:
- you authorize EdgeHabit to use the broker-issued authorization data only for the disclosed features;
- you are responsible for ensuring that the connected account and any required subscription are lawfully yours;
- you may revoke or disconnect access through available EdgeHabit or broker controls;
- you must immediately disconnect the integration or contact us if you believe access has been compromised.
Any retained broker-issued token or broker-permitted credential will be encrypted in transit and encrypted at rest and will not be exposed in client-side code, public pages, ordinary logs, or frontend responses.
However, no system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for reviewing broker permissions, using strong account security, and monitoring your broker account.
8. Broker passwords and TOTP
Do not submit your broker login password, PIN, MPIN, OTP, TOTP code, or TOTP seed to EdgeHabit. EdgeHabit will not launch a public broker connection that requires us to collect or retain those login factors.
Where a broker-hosted login or redirect flow is used, you enter your broker password, PIN, TOTP, or two-factor authentication directly on the broker's own page, not on EdgeHabit.
A future connection screen may request only the broker-issued authorization data permitted for that integration. The screen will disclose the purpose, storage, retention, and revocation method before collection.
9. Scope of broker access
If a broker-approved integration is enabled, EdgeHabit may use your authorized connection to fetch or process only the data disclosed for that connection, which may include:
- tradebook data;
- orderbook data;
- positions;
- holdings;
- margins or funds information;
- instrument details;
- historical candles;
- live or delayed quotes;
- option-chain data;
- chart/replay data;
- account identifiers needed for mapping and sync;
- errors, status messages, and API metadata.
EdgeHabit uses this information to provide your private workspace, including journaling, analytics, charts, replay, psychology review, rule tracking, and related features.
EdgeHabit does not intentionally use one user's broker credentials or broker-fetched data to serve another user.
10. Market data and candle data
Market data includes, without limitation, live prices, delayed prices, quotes, depth, order-book snapshots, historical candles, OHLCV data, option chains, instrument metadata, and derived chart/replay data.
You understand and agree that:
- EdgeHabit is not an exchange or market-data vendor.
- EdgeHabit does not grant you any independent right to market data.
- Your right to view or use market data may depend on your broker, exchange, API, data-vendor, or subscription entitlements.
- You are responsible for maintaining any paid API plan, broker subscription, exchange entitlement, or data permission required for your use.
- EdgeHabit may cache candle or chart data only to provide your own private workspace and improve performance.
- EdgeHabit must not be used to publicly display, resell, redistribute, sublicense, scrape, export, or commercialize market data unless you have all required permissions.
- You must not use EdgeHabit to create a public or shared market-data feed.
- You must not use another user's data entitlement, API key, or market-data subscription.
- You must not use EdgeHabit to violate broker or exchange restrictions on historical data, live data, virtual trading, mock trading, simulation, public display, or redistribution.
EdgeHabit may limit, block, delete, or disable market-data features where required by law, broker terms, exchange rules, vendor terms, technical constraints, or risk controls.
11. No cross-user market-data sharing
EdgeHabit is designed for private, user-scoped use.
Unless a future feature expressly states otherwise and obtains the required permissions, EdgeHabit does not permit:
- User A's broker API data to be shown to User B;
- User A's market-data entitlement to be used for User B;
- public display of raw market data;
- resale or redistribution of raw market data;
- creation of a shared candle database from one user's broker API for general use by other users.
If you use any sharing, mentor, team, classroom, public-link, screenshot, export, or partner features, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share the content and that the content does not violate market-data, broker, privacy, or confidentiality rules.
12. Broker and API rate limits
Broker APIs may impose rate limits, daily limits, endpoint limits, session limits, historical-data limits, live-data limits, and other technical restrictions.
You agree that:
- you will not use EdgeHabit to bypass or defeat rate limits;
- EdgeHabit may throttle, queue, delay, block, or limit requests to protect broker/API limits;
- EdgeHabit may reduce, disable, or modify candle, replay, chart, or sync features if limits are reached;
- EdgeHabit is not responsible if a broker rejects, delays, throttles, blocks, expires, or terminates an API session.
If your broker charges separately for API access or market data, you are responsible for those charges.
13. India data hosting and data residency
For Indian users, EdgeHabit is designed to operate on an India-first hosting and data-residency model.
Unless a specific feature screen or policy update says otherwise, EdgeHabit's core production systems for Indian users are intended to be hosted in India. This includes the primary application servers, production databases, journal records, uploaded trade files, security logs, audit logs, ordinary backups, and, if a broker-approved integration is enabled, its authorization data and imported records.
You understand and agree that:
- EdgeHabit will use Indian-region infrastructure for core user data wherever technically and commercially available;
- if a broker-approved integration is enabled, EdgeHabit will not intentionally store its authorization data, raw broker-fetched trading data, or user-scoped candle/replay cache on foreign servers for ordinary production use;
- EdgeHabit may use limited third-party service providers for support, email, analytics, payment processing, error monitoring, or customer communication, but we will avoid sending raw trading journal data or future broker authorization data unless necessary for a feature you use, required by law, or disclosed in the Privacy Policy;
- if a future feature requires processing outside India, we will handle it according to applicable law, our Privacy Policy, and any additional consent or notice required at that time;
- if any law, regulator, broker, exchange, data vendor, or government notification requires a higher data-localisation or storage standard, EdgeHabit may modify, suspend, restrict, or disable affected features to comply.
Nothing in these Terms gives you or EdgeHabit the right to move, display, resell, redistribute, or sublicense broker, exchange, or market data contrary to applicable law or third-party terms.
Payment data may be processed by third-party payment gateways or payment processors. EdgeHabit does not intend to store full card numbers, UPI credentials, net-banking passwords, or similar payment credentials. Payment providers remain responsible for their own payment-system data localisation and regulatory obligations where applicable.
14. User data and user content
"User Content" means any data, text, notes, tags, screenshots, files, trades, journals, comments, labels, rules, playbooks, strategies, settings, uploads, or other material that you submit, import, generate, or store in EdgeHabit.
You retain ownership of your User Content.
You grant EdgeHabit a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, revocable where legally required, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, back up, secure, analyze, and use your User Content only as needed to provide, maintain, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content is accurate, lawful, and not infringing or confidential in a way that you are not permitted to submit.
15. AI-assisted and coaching features
EdgeHabit may provide AI-assisted summaries, coaching prompts, behavioral insights, mistake detection, review questions, trade-analysis summaries, rule suggestions, risk observations, or educational explanations.
You understand and agree that:
- AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation.
- AI outputs are not investment advice, financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or trading recommendations.
- AI outputs should not be treated as instructions to buy, sell, hold, or trade.
- You are responsible for independently reviewing any output before relying on it.
- EdgeHabit may use third-party AI infrastructure providers to process prompts, summaries, or related data, subject to the Privacy Policy.
EdgeHabit may modify, limit, disable, or remove AI features at any time.
16. Accuracy of data and analytics
EdgeHabit may normalize, transform, infer, calculate, or derive analytics from broker data, uploaded files, manual entries, and market data.
You understand that:
- broker APIs and uploaded files may contain errors or missing fields;
- timestamps, symbols, segments, charges, brokerage, taxes, corporate actions, and P&L may require interpretation;
- charts and candles may not exactly match your broker, exchange, or another charting platform;
- derived metrics may be approximate;
- replay and backtest results may depend heavily on data quality and assumptions.
You are responsible for verifying all information before making decisions.
17. Account security
You are responsible for:
- keeping your EdgeHabit login secure;
- maintaining security of your broker accounts;
- using strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available;
- keeping any broker authorization data confidential;
- monitoring connected integrations;
- promptly notifying us of unauthorized access or suspected compromise.
EdgeHabit is not responsible for losses caused by your failure to secure your account, device, email, broker account, API keys, or credentials.
18. Subscriptions, billing, renewals, and refunds
Some features may require a paid plan.
The applicable pricing, billing cycle, renewal rules, trial terms, taxes, payment method, and cancellation process will be shown on the pricing page, checkout page, invoice, or account settings.
Unless otherwise stated in a specific offer:
- subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled;
- cancellation prevents future renewal but does not automatically refund the current billing period;
- fees are non-refundable once a billing period starts, except where required by law or expressly stated by EdgeHabit;
- failed payments may result in downgrade, suspension, or termination;
- taxes, payment-gateway fees, currency conversion, and bank charges may apply;
- third-party broker/API/data charges are separate from EdgeHabit fees and are your responsibility.
EdgeHabit may change plan features, pricing, limits, or packaging with reasonable notice where required by law or commercial practice.
19. Free trials and beta features
EdgeHabit may offer free trials, beta features, early-access features, experimental tools, or limited previews.
Such features may be unstable, incomplete, inaccurate, or discontinued without notice.
Beta or experimental features should not be relied on for trading, financial, compliance, or mission-critical decisions.
20. Acceptable use
You must not:
- violate any applicable law, broker rule, exchange rule, API term, or third-party right;
- access another user's data without permission;
- connect another person's broker account without authorization;
- share, sell, sublicense, or redistribute market data without permission;
- use EdgeHabit to run unlawful advisory, portfolio management, copy-trading, signal-selling, or data-redistribution activity;
- reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe, attack, or disrupt the Service;
- bypass limits, authentication, access controls, rate limits, billing controls, or security systems;
- upload malware, harmful code, or unlawful content;
- misrepresent EdgeHabit as a broker, adviser, exchange, data vendor, or regulated intermediary;
- use the Service to make guaranteed-return claims or misleading financial promotions;
- use another person's payment method, identity, broker account, or API credentials without authority.
21. Third-party services
EdgeHabit may rely on third-party providers for hosting, analytics, payments, email, SMS, monitoring, error tracking, AI infrastructure, authentication, broker APIs, market data, charting, and other functions.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
EdgeHabit is not responsible for third-party outages, delays, errors, pricing changes, policy changes, data quality issues, or discontinuation.
22. Intellectual property
EdgeHabit, including its software, design, code, interfaces, workflows, branding, logos, documentation, templates, analytics models, non-user data structures, and service features, is owned by EdgeHabit or its licensors.
These Terms do not transfer any ownership in EdgeHabit's intellectual property to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from EdgeHabit except as allowed by law or expressly permitted in writing.
23. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, bug reports, feature requests, or feedback, you grant EdgeHabit the right to use them without restriction or compensation, provided we do not disclose your personal data contrary to the Privacy Policy.
24. Service availability and changes
EdgeHabit may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, bugs, infrastructure failure, cyber incidents, third-party outages, broker/API downtime, or force majeure events.
We may modify, suspend, replace, limit, or discontinue any feature, integration, broker connector, data source, chart, indicator, AI feature, or plan at any time.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability of the Service.
25. Data retention, deletion, and disconnection
If a broker-approved integration is enabled, you may disconnect it through available product controls or by contacting us. You may request deletion of your account or data at any time.
Disconnection stops future syncing but may not automatically delete previously imported journal records unless you request deletion or use a specific delete option.
Subject to the Privacy Policy, EdgeHabit may retain certain records for security, fraud prevention, support, billing, accounting, tax, audit, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backup, and incident-response purposes.
Deletion of a broker connection will remove or render unusable its stored authorization data, subject to legal, security, backup, and short-lived operational retention.
26. Suspension and termination by EdgeHabit
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access if:
- you breach these Terms;
- you create legal, security, financial, operational, broker, exchange, or regulatory risk;
- your payment fails;
- you misuse broker APIs or market data;
- your use may harm EdgeHabit, other users, brokers, exchanges, vendors, or the public;
- we are required to do so by law, broker request, vendor request, court order, regulator request, or security concern.
We may also remove or disable content or integrations that violate these Terms.
27. Termination by you
You may stop using EdgeHabit at any time.
You may request account closure or deletion using the available controls or by contacting [email protected].
You remain responsible for fees already incurred and for your obligations before termination.
28. Effect of termination
After termination:
- your right to access the Service ends;
- we may deactivate your account and delete or anonymize data according to the Privacy Policy;
- we may retain limited records where required or permitted for legal, security, accounting, tax, audit, fraud-prevention, dispute, backup, or compliance purposes;
- provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution, and legal compliance continue to apply.
29. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EdgeHabit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, security, data completeness, and trading outcome.
We do not warrant that:
- the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
- broker imports will always work;
- data will always be accurate or complete;
- charts, replay, candles, indicators, or analytics will match any third-party platform;
- AI outputs will be correct;
- any strategy, rule, playbook, review, or behavioral insight will improve performance;
- any broker, API, data source, or third-party service will remain available.
30. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EdgeHabit and its founders, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for:
- trading losses;

- third-party service failures;
- business interruption;
- loss of goodwill;
- indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EdgeHabit's total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid to EdgeHabit in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
- INR 1,000.
This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
31. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EdgeHabit and its founders, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damages, penalty, cost, or expense arising from:
- your use or misuse of the Service;
- your trading or investment decisions;

32. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Service, email, or another reasonable method.
Your continued use of EdgeHabit after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may close your account.
33. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
34. Dispute resolution

If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

36. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout or inside the Service, form the entire agreement between you and EdgeHabit regarding the Service.
37. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect.
38. No waiver
If EdgeHabit does not enforce a provision immediately, that does not mean EdgeHabit waives the right to enforce it later.
39. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
EdgeHabit may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
40. Survival
Sections relating to risk disclosure, no-advice disclaimer, intellectual property, payment obligations, data retention, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution, and any provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination.

- you are responsible for your own trading decisions;
- you are responsible for your own broker/API/data subscriptions;
- you will not use EdgeHabit to redistribute market data unlawfully;
- you will use only credentials and data that you are authorized to use;
- you have read and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
